Called up to Expos September 2...That same day made Major League debut and became 73rd player in ML history and just second Expo to homer in first ML plate appearance when he connected of Boston's Bret Saberhagen...Was just 12th pinch-hitter to accomplish the feat...Hit inside-the-park HR as pinch-hitter, Sept. 16 at Pittsburgh...Finished batting .300 (12/40) with three HR and eight RBI in 19 September games with Montreal...Played for Peoria of Arizona Fall League and hit .414 in 31 games with league-leading 15 doubles, four HR and 29 RBI, missing by just nine at-bats for league batting crown...Selected by AFL managers as top first base prospect...Participated in Rookie Career Development Program in January.
