Began the year on the Disabled List as he recovered from surgery to repair a SLAP lesion in his right shoulder...Posted a 2.45 ERA in 10 contests wiht Tuscson (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League before returning to the majors....Had his contract purchased by Arizona on June 23rd...Made his debut that night vs. Houston and notched the win in a 7-6 triumph...It was his first big league outing since June 22, 2002 vs. Minnesota....Was designated for assignment on June 30th, cleared waivers and was outrighted to Tuscon on July 2nd. Appeared in 21 games with Tuscon after he was outrighted.
