The Pirates return home to PNC Park and begin a 10-game homestand starting with a four-game weekend series against the Washington Nationals, directly followed by a three-game series against the Miami Marlins. Following a day off, they return to action with a three-game weekend series against the Kansas City Royals to wrap it up.

Highlights for this homestand include Zambelli Fireworks on Friday, September 13. On Sunday, September 15 in the final game of the homestand, the Pirates will celebrate the “The Great One”, Roberto Clemente, with all fans in attendance receiving a collectible Roberto Clemente baseball card.

• West Point Softball Little League: On-field pre-game group salute behind home plate. West Point recently competed in the Little League Softball World Series in Greenville, North Carolina. Their road to the World Series began in Wellsboro, PA, where they won the Pennsylvania State Tournament and then winning the Regional Tournament in Bristol, CT. At the World Series, they represented the Mid-Atlantic Region very well by making it all the way to the semifinal game. They finished among the Final four Little League teams in the world and had an amazing experience.
