Pirates announce complete schedule of game times for 2021 season
The Pittsburgh Pirates, in conjunction with Major League Baseball, today announced the complete schedule of game times for the 2021 regular season.
The Pirates will open the 2021 campaign on Thursday, April 1, at Chicago with first pitch scheduled for 2:20 p.m. eastern time against the Cubs at Wrigley Field. Pittsburgh’s first homestand will get underway with a 1:35 p.m. first pitch on Thursday, April 8, against the Cubs.
As previously released, the 2021 home schedule now includes revised times for both the early and late months of the season to enhance the family experience. All evening games in April and May, as well as September, will now begin at 6:35 p.m., a 30-minute move from the customary 7:05 p.m. starts. In addition, Sunday home games throughout the season will be moved up from their usual 1:35 p.m. start and will now begin at 1:05 p.m.
Pirates Season Ticket Holders will be among the first invited back into PNC Park this season. While seating capacities for the season remain unknown, Pirates Season Ticket Holders will receive priority access for all games when gates reopen to the public next season.
