The Pittsburgh Pirates announced today a game time change for its game on Saturday, September 8 vs. the Miami Marlins at PNC Park. First pitch has been moved from the originally scheduled 7:05 p.m. EST to 1:05 p.m. EST to allow the University of Pittsburgh to schedule its gridiron clash with Penn State University at night.
The Pirates' move to 1:05 p.m. will alleviate potential congestion on the North Shore, while also allowing fans the unique opportunity to enjoy a "day/night doubleheader" of baseball and football on the North Shore.
