PIRATES NIKE RBI

Pirates RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) operates with the mission to increase participation and diversity in the games of baseball and softball with a focus on underserved and under-represented communities. More than 1,500 boys and girls, ages 9-18, forming 83 teams from 20+ communities around Pittsburgh, participate in Pirates RBI in partnership with Pittsburgh’s CitiSports organization.

Through the support of Pirates Charities, teams are provided with a number of resources and special experiences creating lifetime memories around the sports of baseball and softball.

In 2023, the Pirates were proud to once again host the Pirates RBI Championships at PNC Park on July 24-26 and invited the community to attend this free event and enjoy a day at the ballpark.
