PIRATES CHARITIES FRIENDSGIVING HOLIDAY DRIVE
Throughout the month of November 2020, Pirates Charities teamed-up with Pirates fans, players, coaches and front office staff to make a positive impact with the "Pirates Charities Friendsgiving" holiday gift campaign. The online campaign raised funds to benefit four local non-profit organizations and their efforts to support local families and individuals during the holiday season by assisting with the purchase of toys, clothes and winter outerwear.
Thanks to the efforts, Pirates Charities distributed a total of $55,000 to four area non-profits and worked with them to ensure a brighter holiday season for many local families.
"The holiday season is a time when many need our help, especially this year," said Pirates President Travis Williams. "We are proud of this initiative and our partnerships with these four local nonprofits, and we are humbled to have a part in being able to ease the burden on a number of Pittsburgh families this year."
