NEW YORK -- Two of the most exciting prospects in the Yankees' organization will be on display at the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, when right-hander Domingo Acevedo and outfielder Estevan Florial suit up for the World team in the 4 p.m. ET contest today at Marlins Park.
"Those guys have come a long way, and I'm real proud of the work they put in," Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said. "Obviously Florial is a position player. He's just having a monster year. And Acevedo, the size is off the charts, so he's a little [Michael] Pineda."

One of the hardest-throwing starters in the Minors, the 23-year-old Acevedo has been clocked as high as 103 mph and usually operates between 95 and 100 mph. Acevedo has pitched at three levels in the Yanks' organization this season, going a combined 4-5 with a 3.09 ERA in 16 starts.

In 99 innings, Acevedo has permitted 97 hits while walking 23 and striking out 107. In addition to a blistering heater, Acevedo also features a mid-80s slider and a changeup.
The 6-foot-7, 240-pound prospect, ranked No. 12 in the organization by MLBPipeline.com, hails from Villa Los Almacigos in the Dominican Republic. He is currently playing for Double-A Trenton, where he is 3-0 with a 1.39 ERA in seven starts.
"I never thought that I would be selected, and I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, because I was so in shock," Acevedo told NJ Advance Media. "I didn't know what to do. But I thank God, and thank the Yankees, for giving me this opportunity to be able to go to the Futures All-Star Game."

Florial, 20, is rated as the Yanks' No. 15 prospect by MLB Pipeline.com. A left-handed hitting product of Port Au Prince, Haiti, Florial features a lean and athletic build with above-average raw power, arm strength and plus speed.
Yankees second baseman Starlin Castro, a product of the Dominican Republic, said it is exciting to see Haiti represented in pro ball.
"It's close. It's the same island, and they're part of us," Castro said. "They have to go on our side to play. And it's pretty good to have a partner country to be a baseball player like we are. I think the country is going to keep growing, and it's fun to have this guy there."
Currently a member of the Yanks' Class A Charleston roster, Florial is batting .300/.385/.509 in 72 games, collecting 16 doubles, four triples, 11 homers and 39 RBIs. He has struck out 96 times against 37 walks while collecting 15 stolen bases.
The Futures Game has long offered a sneak peek of tomorrow's stars: Luis Severino was on a roster in 2014, Aaron Judge played in '15 and Gary Sanchez participated in '15 and '16.
