• Left-hander Cesar Jimenez cleared waivers and accepted his outright assignment to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. He will report Sunday afternoon.

• Wil Nieves had been in Sunday's lineup before Carlos Ruiz found his way back. Ruiz, 35, has started 49 of 61 games this season. He is on pace to start 130, after having never started more than 113 games in his career. He has spent each of the previous five seasons on the disabled list.
