CHICAGO -- The media taking part in Wednesday’s White Sox Zoom following a 2-1 victory over the Twins almost got a look at the Dress like Yoán Moncada-themed team wardrobe when Lucas Giolito invited interpreter Billy Russo to step in front of the camera.

Russo declined with a laugh, leaving the White Sox ace to describe his fashion choice for the excursion to New York based on the talented Chicago third baseman’s colorful attire.

“So, I'm wearing a romper. And I got two: One's XXL and one's XL,” said a smiling Giolito, who struck out 11 over eight innings in leading the South Siders to a series win at Target Field. “I'm not sure which one's going to fit me. I probably lost some weight, so probably the XL tonight.

“Obviously, the theme for me, I've got a bunch of cats on it. I think the one I'm wearing is going to be a cat on top of a cheeseburger and just a bunch of bright colors. That's my personal twist on it. You'll probably see some pictures. Everyone's busting out some funny stuff.”

Moncada gained offseason notoriety through the release of his first single, “Disastre Personal,” alongside El Chacal and Lenier. The song appeared on Billboard Tropical Charts and had a video featuring Moncada wearing casual floral prints, sunglasses and gold chains around his neck including one with his No. 10 jersey.

Pictures of Moncada’s teammates and their clothing tribute can be found on the White Sox team Twitter account. This themed excursion was made even more fun as Chicago improved to 25-16 for the season just before the team suited up for the road.

“We're definitely a close-knit team,” Giolito said. “We're friends on and off the field. We hold each other accountable, all that good stuff. And I feel like we're only growing closer the better baseball that we're playing, the deeper into this year we get."
