Team to watch
The White Sox entered 2021 with four Top 100 Prospects and likely will have graduated all of them to the big leagues by the end of this month, so the future of their system will be on display at Low-A Kannapolis. Right-handers Jared Kelley, Matthew Thompson and Andrew Dalquist, who signed out of high school for a combined $7.1 million in the last two Drafts, will headline the Cannon Ballers rotation and be joined by sleeper left-hander Bailey Horn. Kannapolis also will be home to many of the best young hitters in the system, including third basemen Bryan Ramos and D.J. Gladney, shortstop Jose Rodriguez and outfielders Benyamin Bailey, James Beard and Chase Krogman.

New faces
MLB Pipeline's top-rated international prospect in the 2020-21 class, outfielder Yoelqui Céspedes signed for $2.05 million in January. The younger brother of Yoenis Céspedes is currently in extended spring training but will head to Double-A Birmingham once some visa issues are resolved. Another Cuban who signed in January, right-hander Norge Vera is at the White Sox's Dominican complex and may not debut in the United States until 2022.
On the shelf
Chicago's lone Top 30 Prospect on the injured list is big league left-hander Garrett Crochet, who was deactivated with an upper back strain on April 29. Before he went down, he logged a 1.00 ERA in nine relief appearances.
