Team to watch
Outfielder JJ Bleday and right-hander Max Meyer are top-four picks from the last two Drafts headed to Double-A Pensacola. Meyer will make his pro debut there, as will left-hander Jake Eder, a fourth-rounder last year who teamed with Bleday to win the 2019 College World Series at Vanderbilt. Other Blue Wahoos of note include outfielders Peyton Burdick and Jerar Encarnacion.

New faces
Cuban shortstop Yiddi Cappe, who signed for $3.5 million in January, is at the Marlins' Dominican complex and will break into pro ball in the Rookie-level Dominican Summer League in July. Right-hander Paul Campbell stuck in Miami as a Rule 5 pick, but he logged an 8.74 ERA in his first month in the Majors and was suspended for 80 games in May after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance.
On the shelf
Top 100 Prospects Sixto Sánchez (shoulder) and Edward Cabrera (biceps) both were shut down this spring but are throwing again, albeit without definitive timetables for returning to game action. Fellow right-handers Evan Fitterer (back) and Jorge Guzman (elbow) also are working their way back from minor ailments.
