Team to watch
The Dunedin Blue Jays will have a loaded roster in 2016, with 10 of Toronto's Top 30 prospects ticketed to begin the season in the Florida State League. At the front of that group are outfielder Anthony Alford and right-hander Conner Greene, the club's top two prospects, and they'll have a strong supporting cast that includes shortstop Richard Urena, outfielder D.J. Davis and left-hander Ryan Borucki, who will bypass the Class A level entirely. And with a strong contingent of prospects beginning the year at Class A Lansing, there should be a steady influx of talent to Dunedin throughout the season.

The Blue Jays traded a pair of prospects in exchange for international bonus pool money last season, and it ultimately allowed the club to give Vladimir Guerrero Jr. a $3.9 million bonus -- the second highest in franchise history -- on July 2. The son of former MVP Vladimir Guerrero, Vlad Jr. projects to be an above-average hitter with plus power, and he's impressed club officials with his transition to third base from the outfield. He'll open 2016 in extended spring camp before embarking on his pro debut later in the season.
On the shelf
2014 first-rounder Max Pentecost may be on Class A Lansing's roster, but he'll begin the season on the disabled list as he continues to work his way back from a pair of surgeries to repair his right labrum. At Dunedin, third baseman Mitch Nay will start the year on the DL while rehabbing a leg injury that kept him from participating in the Arizona Fall League. Right-hander Clinton Hollon, meanwhile, will serve the remainder of his 50-game suspension to start the season after he tested positive for amphetamines last August.
