New faces
It might be easier to talk about who isn’t a new face. There are eight members of the Top 30 who joined the organization via the trading frenzy the A’s underwent after the lockout ended. Five of the top 10 are recent trade acquisitions, starting with No. 2 prospect Shea Langeliers, now with Triple-A Las Vegas.
On the shelf
Another trade pickup, Gunnar Hoglund, is rehabbing from Tommy John surgery, and should be back at some point this year. Mason Miller, the A’s third-round pick from 2021, has a scapula strain and could miss a good amount of time, while Cody Thomas is making his way back from offseason Achilles surgery.
