Update on all of Sunday's postponements
Baseball sees 6 of 16 games called because of inclement weather
Cold temperatures and inclement weather throughout the Midwest canceled a number of contests on Jackie Robinson Day. Six of the day's 16 matchups -- including a doubleheader in Detroit -- were postponed.
Here's a look at where things stand as of Sunday afternoon:
Yankees @ Tigers
An ice storm postponed both games on Sunday at Comerica Park. They will be made up as a day-night doubleheader on Monday, June 4 at 1:10 and 7:10 p.m. ET. Saturday's matchup was also rained out, making these the fifth and sixth postponements for Detroit in 2018.
Both teams were scheduled for an off-day on June 4. Instead, the Yankees will stop through Detroit between series in Baltimore and Toronto. More >
Blue Jays @ Indians
The Indians and Blue Jays were postponed due to inclement weather for a second straight day. Both Saturday and Sunday's games will be made up as part of a traditional doubleheader on May 3, beginning at 1:10 p.m. ET.
The Indians next play on Tuesday as the visiting team in San Juan, Puerto Rico, while the Blue Jays return home to face the Royals on Monday. More >
White Sox @ Twins
The final three games of the series at Target Field were postponed due to blizzard conditions that aren't expected to subside until Monday morning. The rescheduled games will be announced at a later date.
The Twins now head to Puerto Rico for a two-game series against the Indians beginning on Tuesday, while the White Sox visit the A's in Oakland for three games. More >
Angels @ Royals
The series finale at Kauffman Stadium was postponed by cold temperatures and will be made up on June 25 at 3:15 p.m. CT. Wind chills before game time were in the upper teens, with winds from the north at 17 mph. More >
Shohei Ohtani was scheduled to start on Sunday on the mound and will now line up to pitch on Tuesday against David Price and the Red Sox, Angels manager Mike Scioscia said. More >
Braves @ Cubs
Cold weather and rainy conditions postponed the series finale at Wrigley. It will be made up on a mutual off-day -- May 14 at 1:20 p.m. CT. The two clubs played through difficult conditions on Saturday, when temperature at first pitch was 38 degrees, the coldest at Wrigley since May 16, 2014 (also 38 degrees). More >
