In baseball, it’s always important to have an eye on the future. No matter how much talent is already up with a club at the Major League level, there’s always room for another impact prospect -- like the Astros’ Yordan Alvarez, who has added even more energy to an already strong offense in Houston. We’ve already seen the success of a number of teams’ notable prospects this year, from Alvarez to Fernando Tatis Jr. to Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Austin Riley. So, who’s next?

Guerrero Jr., the No. 1 overall prospect entering the year, recently became the youngest player in Major League history to reach two career grand slams. Keston Hiura, who was the Brewers’ top prospect heading into 2019, just won Rookie of the Month honors for July. Mike Soroka, the Braves’ top prospect entering the year, has himself in the Rookie of the Year and Cy Young conversations.

The current Top 100 list has exciting talent, from Wander Franco (Rays) who has wowed this season at just 18 years old, to Casey Mize (Tigers) the first pick in the 2018 MLB Draft. This year’s top pick Adley Rutschman (Orioles) is already in the top 10, too.
