Watch Phillies-Giants tonight, live on YouTube
Fans can tune in live tonight exclusively on YouTube for a matchup between two of the top contenders in a tight National League Wild Card race.
The contest, which is the fifth MLB Game of the Week Live on YouTube, will see the Giants host the Phillies as the two clubs start a four-game series in San Francisco. An MLB Network production, the game is scheduled to begin at 9:45 ET (6:45 PT), and it can be viewed for free on MLB's official YouTube page.
The Phils also played in the very first MLB Game of the Week Live on YouTube, defeating the Dodgers, 7-6, on July 18.
Left-hander Madison Bumgarner, who has posted a 3.19 ERA with 49 strikeouts in 48 innings over his past eight starts, will go for the Giants.
The soon-to-be free agent was widely expected to be dealt before the Trade Deadline, but San Francisco turned around its season with a 20-6 stretch from June 30-July 31 and ended up keeping the 30-year-old southpaw, a key member on the Giants' World Series-winning teams in 2010, '12 and '14.
Philadelphia will start its own ace, Aaron Nola, who is 4-0 with a 2.33 ERA in his past seven starts and hasn't lost since June 21.
After a busy offseason in which they added Bryce Harper, J.T. Realmuto and Jean Segura, among others, the Phillies enter Thursday's game in a tie with the Brewers for the second NL Wild Card spot -- two games behind the Nationals for the first spot -- with the Cardinals, Mets, D-backs, Giants and Reds all within four games.
