Blue Jays-Rays live on YouTube tonight
The Rays will look to continue their Wild Card push Thursday against the Blue Jays in an exclusive digital-only broadcast airing live on YouTube.
The opener of a four-game series between American League East foes at Tropicana Field is one of 13 games included in the MLB Game of the Week Live on YouTube series that launched in 2019. An MLB Network production, the evening contest is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. ET in Tampa Bay and can be viewed for free on MLB’s official YouTube Page.
The Rays split a doubleheader with the Orioles on Tuesday to maintain their hold on the AL’s top Wild Card spot. Tampa Bay leaned on its bullpen, deploying seven relievers in Game 2, but they have an off-day Wednesday to recover.
The Blue Jays, meanwhile, dropped a two-game series in Atlanta earlier this week. They’ll be showcasing a number of young prospects as rosters expanded for September, including right-hander T.J. Zeuch, Toronto’s No. 16 prospect, and outfielder Anthony Alford, No. 20. Zeuch made his MLB debut in relief Tuesday against the Braves and tossed 5 2/3 scoreless innings
Austin Pruitt gets the ball for Tampa Bay, and Toronto will go with right-hander Trent Thornton, who's facing the Rays for a third time this season. He's given up 14 runs on 23 hits in 11 1/3 innings against the Rays.
