MIAMI -- South Florida native Trea Turner helped the Nationals set a franchise single-season record with his solo homer into the AutoNation Alley during Friday night's 6-4 win over the Marlins at Marlins Park.

Turner's 15th of the season was the Nationals' 216th, surpassing the 2017 ballclub’s tally (215).

The two-out blast in the third inning -- Washington's first hit off Miami rookie right-hander Robert Dugger -- came on a full-count four-seam fastball. According to Statcast, Turner's homer traveled a projected 404 feet, with an exit velocity of 104.2 mph.

"I don't know if it was a dance party, but I felt like I've been seeing the ball pretty decent," Turner said. "It's a matter of putting the barrel on the ball, and I felt like today, all four at-bats I had a good approach. The swing and timing was there as opposed to last series. I feel good, and [I'll] hopefully roll it into tomorrow and keep going."

Asdrúbal Cabrera knocked a three-run homer to right-center in the fourth to give the Nats a 4-1 lead. Turner then recorded his fifth career multihomer game and second of the season with a solo shot to left in the seventh off Ryne Stanek.
