No. 1 pick Bazzana agrees to deal with Guardians (source)

Less than a week after selecting with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft, the Guardians agreed to an $8.95 million deal (the slot value for the No. 1 overall pick was $10,570,600) with the 21-year-old, a source told MLB.com's Jim Callis. The club has not confirmed.

The Oregon State second baseman was the first No. 1 pick in Cleveland's franchise history and the first Australian-born player to be selected No. 1 overall.
