After going through a brief adjustment period upon reaching the Double-A level, Ian Anderson was lights-out on Sunday in his first Southern League victory.
The Braves' No. 3 prospect (No. 39 overall) yielded three hits over 6 2/3 scoreless innings as he pitched Mississippi past Biloxi, 2-0. He issued one walk and struck out nine in the outing and threw 61 of 97 pitches for strikes.

Anderson gave up a two-out double in the first inning and allowed a pair of Shuckers to reach in the following frame before settling in and retiring 15 straight batters. The streak ended when the 20-year-old right-hander allowed a one-out single in the seventh inning, and he was removed from the game two batters later after issuing a two-out walk.
Promoted to Mississippi on Aug. 8, Anderson combined to allow five earned runs on nine hits and six walks in 6 2/3 innings between his first two Double-A starts.
Overall, Anderson has registered a 2.62 ERA with 132 strikeouts and 47 walks in 113 1/3 innings (23 starts) between Mississippi and Class A Advanced Florida. He's allowed just two home runs, and hitters own a paltry .203 average against him.

• No. 3 overall prospectEloy Jimenez (White Sox No. 1) drove in three runs and finished a home run short of the cycle in Triple-A Charlotte's win over Gwinnett. He also reached once via a walk as part of a 3-for-4 performance that helped Jimenez extend his hitting streak to six games. The 21-year-old is now hitting .364/.407/.620 with 11 homers and 32 RBIs in 48 games at the Triple-A level.

• No. 98 overall prospect Michael Chavis (Red Sox's No. 1) and Josh Ockimey (No. 10) combined for five hits, five RBIs and four runs as they powered Triple-A Pawtucket past Buffalo, 8-3. Chavis went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs and is hitting .571 (8-for-14) with two home runs, three doubles and six RBIs in three games since his promotion to Pawtucket. Ockimey, meanwhile, plated three with a 2-for-3 performance that included his 20th home run of the season.

• With his pair of solo homers on Sunday, A's No. 13 prospect Greg Deichmann has now hit all five of his Class A Advanced Stockton home runs in his last 11 games. It was the first ever multi-homer game by the 2017 second-rounder, who smashed eight home runs in 46 games for Class A Short Season Vermont last year in his professional debut.
• D-backs No. 3 prospectTaylor Widener allowed two earned runs on three hits over six innings but took the loss for Double-A Jackson. He racked up 10 strikeouts and six ground-ball outs in the outing while throwing 59 of 89 pitches for strikes. It marked the fourth double-digit strikeout performance of the season for Widener, who leads the Southern League with 171 strikeouts in 134 1/3 innings. The 23-year-old right-hander also leads the circuit in WHIP (1.00) and ranks second in ERA (2.68).
• Blue Jays No. 6 prospect Kevin Smith launched a three-run home run for Class A Advanced Dunedin in the nightcap of a doubleheader against Bradenton. He went 3-for-7 with four RBIs on the day. The 23-year-old infielder continues to put up monster numbers, as Sunday's performance gives him a .305/.360/.531 line with 23 homers and 29 steals in 122 games across two levels. He's tallied 60 extra-base hits overall as well as 90 RBIs and runs scored apiece.
• Marlins No. 22 prospectRobert Dugger allowed two earned runs over a career-high eight innings in a complete-game loss for Double-A Jacksonville. Throwing 103 pitches (68 strikeouts), the 23-year-old right-hander mixed six hits with one walk and six strikeouts. After some initial struggles following a promotion to Double-A, Dugger has found his groove en route to a 1.49 ERA and 45-to-9 strikeout-to-walk ratio in his past six starts (42 1/3 innings).
• Orioles No. 16 prospectDean Kremer tossed six scoreless innings en route to his fourth win in seven starts with Double-A Bowie. The 22-year-old righty permitted as many hits as he did walks (two) and struck out eight to help lead the Baysox over Erie, 4-1. Acquired from the Dodgers in the Manny Machado blockbuster, Kremer has pitched to a 2.29 ERA with 43 strikeouts over 39 1/3 innings in the Eastern League.
• Rangers No. 23 prospect Scott Heineman's pair of solo homers were the difference as Triple-A Round Rock edged New Orleans, 3-2. The 25-year-old outfielder went deep in his first two at-bats, homering off right-hander Zac Gallen (Marlins' No. 19) on both occasions to record his third career multi-homer game. Overall, Heineman has hit 12 home runs in 108 games.

• Red Sox No. 6 prospect Bobby Dalbec is tied for second in the Minor Leagues after connecting on his 32nd home run of the season. He paired his three-run homer with a double to finish 2-for-5 with two runs scored in Double-A Portland's 10-2 win over Reading. The 23-year-old third baseman is tying a bow on a breakout season that's seen him slash .258/.366/.575 with 69 extra-base hits and 104 RBIs in 122 games across two levels.
