OAKLAND -- The Tigers lost a home game 2,000 miles away from Comerica Park on Friday when the A’s finished off a suspended game from May 19 with a 7-3 win.

The game was suspended 110 days prior because of rain in the bottom of the seventh inning at Comerica Park with Oakland ahead, 5-3. Chad Pinder hit a two-run homer off Tigers reliever David McKay in the ninth on Friday as the A’s pulled away.

The loss was the 98th of the season for the Tigers, who have yet to beat the A’s in four games. The clubs officially begin a weekend series at approximately 10:07 p.m. ET at the Coliseum.

Zac Reininger, who allowed two runs in the seventh inning on May 19, took the loss, while the A’s Mike Fiers extended his winning streak to 12 games, the second-longest in A’s history.

The Tigers have now lost 11 consecutive games to Oakland in Comerica Park games.

Detroit, which had just four hits in the Comerica Park portion of the game, had one hit in the conclusion, a one-out double by Dawel Lugo in the eighth inning off left-hander Jake Diekman.
