April 30: Red Sox 6, Rangers 1 -- Yang excelling in long relief
Hyeon-Jong Yang is just the second pitcher in Rangers history with relief outings of four-plus innings in each of his first two Major League appearances, joining Mark Brandenburg on July 20, 1995, vs. Cleveland and July 26, 1995, at Baltimore.

April 29: Rangers 4, Red Sox 1 -- Gibson’s streak ends
Rangers starter Kyle Gibson saw his home scoreless streak end at 25 innings, the third-longest streak in Arlington since 1994, behind Mike Minor (29 innings in 2019) and C.J. Wilson (25 2/3 from 2009-10).

April 28: Angels 4, Rangers 3 -- Solak's on-base streak
With a two-hit night against the Angels, Nick Solak has reached base in 13 straight games, which is the longest such streak of his career. He also has multiple hits in four of his last five games.

April 27: Rangers 6, Angels 1 -- Gallo tattoos one
Joey Gallo snapped a career-high 20-game homerless streak in Tuesday's game against the Angels, hitting his second of the season in the third inning. It was his 14th home run with a 114+ mph exit velocity (at 114.3) in the Statcast era (since 2015, incl. playoffs).

April 26: Angels 9, Rangers 4 -- Yang's MLB debut
Hyeon-Jong Yang’s 4 1/3-inning outing was the second-longest relief appearance by a Rangers pitcher in his Major League debut. Steve Wilson went 5 1/3 frames on Sept. 16, 1988, also against the Angels.

April 25: White Sox 8, Rangers 4 -- Gallo still getting on base
Joey Gallo went 2-for-4 against the White Sox on Sunday to extend his season-opening on-base streak to 21 games. That is now the longest on-base streak in MLB this season after Toronto's Vladimir Guerrero went 0-for-5 on Saturday. Gallo also has the longest season-opening on-base streak by a Rangers hitter who was on the Opening Day roster since Ian Kinsler in 2008 (25 games).

April 24: White Sox 2, Rangers 1 -- Gibson's scoreless streak
Before giving up a run in the sixth inning, Kyle Gibson pitched 19 scoreless innings, matching Clayton Kershaw for the longest scoreless streak in MLB this season. That also stands as the third longest scoreless streak of Gibson's career (22 and 20 innings pitched in the 2014-15 seasons).

April 23: White Sox 9, Rangers 7 -- García continues to rake
Adolis García hit his fourth and fifth home runs of the season, putting him in the sole lead for homers among MLB rookies with five (five others, including Yermín Mercedes of the White Sox, have four). Prior to García, the last Ranger to hit as many as four home runs within his first 10 games of the season was Joey Gallo in 2019 (four through 10 games).

April 20: Angels 6, Rangers 2 -- Gallo drops one down
Joey Gallo's bunt single in the seventh inning was the ninth of his career and his first since Sept. 8 of last season, also against the Angels. However, this was the first time he's notched an RBI on a bunt single.

April 19: Rangers 6, Angels 4
Kohei Arihara’s walk to Jared Walsh in the second inning snapped a streak of 27 consecutive innings without a walk thrown by Rangers pitchers, dating back to a loss on April 16 to Baltimore. That was the club’s longest streak of consecutive innings without a walk since April 10-13, 2012 (also 27 innings).

April 18: Rangers 1, Orioles 0 (10) -- Gibson's stunning start
Kyle Gibson's eight-inning start was the longest outing by a Rangers pitcher at Globe Life Field since it opened in 2020. It is the second longest outing by any pitcher of any team at this ballpark, just behind San Diego's Joe Musgrove, who pitched a complete game no-hitter on April 9, 2021. Gibson has also been scoreless in each of his last three starts at Globe Life Field, dating back to 2020. His 20-inning home scoreless streak is the longest by a Texas pitcher at home since Mike Minor set the Globe Life Park record with 29 straight scoreless frames in 2019.

April 17: Orioles 6, Rangers 1 -- Great Dane (Dunning)
With six shutout innings in his third start of the season against the Orioles, Dunning extended his scoreless streak to 14 innings, the longest of his career. Presently, it's the third-longest scoreless streak in MLB this season.

April 16: Orioles 5, Rangers 2 -- Back-to-back jacks
David Dahl and Nick Solak hit back-to-back solo homers in the fifth inning. Texas last hit back-to-back homers when Jeff Mathis and Leody Taveras did it on Sept. 26, 2020.

April 15: Rangers 6, Rays 4 -- García's historic blast
Adolis García is the first batter in Rangers history (1972-present) to hit a go-ahead home run in extra innings for his first career home run. He is also just the second batter in Rangers/Senators franchise history to do so, joining Bud Zipfel (on Aug. 2, 1961 in the 11th inning).

April 14: Rangers 5, Rays 1 -- Road warriors
The Rangers have won back-to-back games on the road for only the second time since the start of the 2020 season. (They won two straight at Colorado from Aug. 14-15.) Texas has improved to 3-3 on the road this season after going 6-24 (.200) away from Globe Life Field in ’20.

April 13: Rangers 8, Rays 3 -- Gallo's RBI snaps streak
The Rangers had their 22-inning scoreless streak snapped in the first inning when Gallo singled home Isiah Kiner-Falefa. They also had a 23-inning scoreless streak in 2018 that lasted from Sept. 16-19. The club record is a 28-inning streak in 1972 that went from July 13-15.

April 12: Rays 1, Rangers 0 -- Hearn matches club mark
Lefty reliever Taylor Hearn's seven strikeouts in three innings of work during the Rangers' 1-0 loss to the Rays tied him for a franchise best seven strikeouts in single relief outing that was three innings or less. The other two pitchers to strike out seven in three innings or less were Ron Mahay in 2003 and Kenny Rogers in 1991. Hearn also became the second pitcher since 2015 to have seven or more strikeouts in a relief performance for Texas. Pedro Payano was the last to do so when he struck out seven in five innings of work in 2019.

April 11: Padres 2, Rangers 0 -- Trevino stays hot at plate
Rangers catcher Jose Trevino went 2-for-3 with a single, double and a walk in the Rangers' 2-0 loss to the Padres, making it his third multi-hit game of the season. He is now tied with David Dahl, Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Nate Lowe for the team lead in multi-hit games (3).

April 10: Padres 7, Rangers 4 -- Gallo gets on
Joey Gallo led off the bottom of the third inning with a single. He has reached safely via a hit, walk or hit by pitch in each of Texas' first eight games.

April 9: Padres 3, Rangers 0 -- First no-hitter at Globe Life Field
Padres pitcher Joe Musgrove pitched the first no-hitter at Globe Life Field since its opening in July 2020 in only the 34th regular-season game played there. The no-hitter was the the fourth ever thrown against the Rangers: Jim Colborn, May 14, 1977, in Kansas City; California’s Mike Witt's perfect game Sept. 30, 1984, at Arlington Stadium; Mark Buehrle, April 18, 2007, in Chicago.

April 7: Rangers 2, Blue Jays 1 -- Gibson's accomplishment
Kyle Gibson became the first Rangers starting pitcher to throw at least six shutout innings and strike out eight or more with one walk or less since 2019. The last Texas starter to accomplish that was Kolby Allard on Aug. 24, 2019.

April 6: Rangers 7, Blue Jays 4 -- Lowe can't stop driving in runs
Nate Lowe's four RBIs against Toronto helped him re-take the MLB lead. His 14 through five games are the most since Baltimore's Chris Davis had 17 in the first five games of 2013.

April 5: Blue Jays 6, Rangers 2 -- Texas' record with roof open
Since Globe Life Field opened in July 2020, the Rangers have only played 31 games in the stadium, following Monday's '21 season opener against the Blue Jays. Only seven of those games have been played with the retractable roof open. After Monday's loss, Texas is 2-5 all-time when the roof is open.

April 4: Rangers 7, Royals 3 -- Lowe homers into the fountains
Nate Lowe’s three-run homer in the third inning against the Royals at Kauffman Stadium traveled a projected 465 feet, according to Statcast. That's tied for the 11th-longest home run by a Rangers hitter since Statcast was introduced in 2015, and the third-longest by a Texas batter in that span on the road, behind just Joey Gallo (490 feet on Sept, 17, 2017 at Angel Stadium) and Shin-Soo Choo (472 feet on Sept. 22, 2019 at Oakland Coliseum).

April 3: Royals 11, Rangers 4 -- Getting on base the hard way
Nick Solak opened the season with a hit-by-pitch in each game. The only other Rangers hitter with a HBP in each of team's first two games of a season was Rougned Odor in 2015.

April 1: Royals 14, Rangers 10 -- Dahl's historic birthday
After going 3-for-5 with a walk, David Dahl joined the Yankees’ Bob Watson as the only players with a three-hit game when their birthday falls on Opening Day.
