Ronald Acuña Jr. exited the Braves' series finale against the Marlins on Sunday in the bottom of the fifth as a precaution with right pectoral tightness. Acuña was replaced by Ender Inciarte, who played alongside Abraham Almonte and Guillermo Heredia in center field and homered in the top of the sixth.

“He could have kept going -- he wanted to keep going. I just want to err on the side of caution. I don't see this being [a] lingering [issue],” said manager Brian Snitker. “It wasn't something that we wanted to mess with. I was watching him throw and warm up, and it didn't bother him then. I think it just got him a little bit when he was swinging.”

In his second at-bat, Acuña took a big swing and seemed to tweak his right pectoral muscle. Following a check-up with the training staff, Acuña exited the game. Before being replaced by Inciarte, Acuña went 1-3 with one run scored. With the Braves getting a needed off-day on Monday, Snitker hopes to see Acuña back in the lineup on Tuesday when the Braves start a two-game series against the Red Sox.

With his leadoff single in the top of the first, Acuña extended his on-base streak to 22 games and currently owns the Majors' longest active streak. His streak began on May 18 and is the third-longest streak of his career behind a 32-game run in 2019 and another 24-game streak during that same season.

Acuña is currently hitting .282/.390/.987 with 39 RBIs and 18 homers on the season.
