Rockies-Reds postponed, DH scheduled for Sunday

September 4th, 2022

CINCINNATI -- A three-hour, 45-minute rain delay Saturday night at Great American Ball Park ended in a postponement for the second game of the series between the Reds and visiting Rockies.

The game will be made up on Sunday as part of a traditional doubleheader beginning at 12:10 p.m. ET/10:10 a.m. MT. and the Reds will take on and the Rockies in Game 1, with and José Ureña starting Game 2 for the Reds and Rockies, respectively.

Country singer Cole Swindell’s postgame concert was moved to pregame during Saturday's initial delay. The Reds announced that they intended to play when the concert ended, and even took the tarp off the field, but the tarp was quickly replaced, and the game was called soon after.

Tickets purchased for Sunday’s game will be valid for both games of the doubleheader. Fans who purchased tickets for Saturday’s contest can exchange them for any 2022 regular-season home game, including Sunday’s doubleheader. Ticket exchanges can be made at the Great American Ball Park ticket window or by calling (513) 381-REDS Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
