DENVER -- Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado has a lead of nearly 379,000 votes, and Charlie Blackmon is sixth among outfielders, as of the first National League 2019 Google All-Star Ballot update on Tuesday.

However, shortstop Trevor Story (243,550 votes) sits 13,535 votes outside the all-important top three during the ongoing primary voting period. The position is led by the Cubs’ Javier Baez (861,496), the Braves’ Dansby Swanson (286,802) and the Dodgers’ Corey Seager (257,085).

Tony Wolters, batting .302, rests at seventh among catchers with 96,117 votes, but possibly the biggest omission is David Dahl – who doesn’t show up among the top 20 outfielders despite being tied with Arenado for fourth in the NL in batting (.329).

Arenado, a six-time Rawlings Gold Glove Award winner who, after a slow offensive start is fifth in slugging and sixth in OPS, has garnered 783,684 votes – well ahead of Kris Bryant’s 404,855. Arenado has 17 home runs, all of which have come since April 14.

Blackmon, who has played in the last three games after recovering from a right calf strain that cost him 14 games, is batting .303 with 11 home runs. Even with the time missed, he leads all NL leadoff hitters with 34 RBIs.

Fans may vote in "The Primary" at MLB.com and all 30 club sites, the MLB At Bat and MLB Ballpark apps up to five times in any 24-hour period. Fans in the US and Canada can also vote on Google Search for every position, or up to 17 unique players per day, by searching "MLB Vote" or the names of their favorite players. Primary voting ends at 2 p.m. MT on Friday, June 21.

The top three vote-getters at each position (including nine outfielders) per league will move on to "The Starters Election," which begins at 10 a.m. MT on Wednesday, June 26. The votes will reset for a 28-hour voting window that ends at 2 p.m. MT on Thursday, June 27. Starters for the 2019 Midsummer Classic will be unveiled on ESPN that night at 5 MT. The pitchers and reserves will be announced on Sunday, June 30, at 3:30 p.m. MT.

Then on Tuesday, July 9, during the 2019 All-Star Game presented by Mastercard, fans may visit MLB.com and the 30 club sites to submit their choices for the Ted Williams Most Valuable Player Award presented by Chevrolet.
