PHILADELPHIA -- The adrenaline had dissipated, but Rhys Hoskins woke up Friday morning and said his right hand felt OK.

Hoskins was relieved. He got hit in the hand with a pitch in Thursday night’s dramatic 7-5 victory over the Cubs at Citizens Bank Park. It loaded the bases, setting up Bryce Harper’s walk-off grand slam. Afterward, Hoskins said he did not know if his hand hurt because he had so much adrenaline pumping through him. X-rays came back negative, and he sustained a bruise.

Hoskins did not start in Friday night’s 8-4 win vs. the Padres, but he entered as a defensive replacement at first base in the ninth. He is likely to rejoin the lineup Saturday.

“I hit today,” Hoskins said. “It was fine. There were no restrictions. I threw. I think [manager Gabe Kapler] just wanted to give it another day to be safe. There was a little bit of bruising and swelling, but nothing too crazy. Just go through the normal treatment stuff and I imagine that I’ll be back in the lineup tomorrow.

“I woke up today thinking it was going to be a lot worse than it was.”

Hoskins has hit leadoff in each of the previous two games, in which the Phillies went 2-0. He hopes to keep hitting there.

“It seems to work for the team,” he said. “We strung some good at-bats together the last couple games.”

Injury note
• Right-hander Seranthony Domínguez (right UCL injury) threw a bullpen session Friday. The Phillies remain hopeful he will pitch again this season.
