ATLANTA -- The Reds made two roster moves before Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Braves, placing infielder Jordan Pacheco on the 15-day disabled list and optioning right-hander Daniel Wright to Triple-A Louisville.
Right-handed reliever J.J. Hoover and utility man Jose Peraza were recalled from Louisville.
Peraza was hitting .274 in Triple-A while playing shortstop, second base and center field. He signed with the Braves as a non-drafted free agent in 2010 and was traded to the Dodgers at the non-waiver Trade Deadline a year ago. The Reds later acquired him during the offseason in the three-team trade that sent third baseman Todd Frazier to the White Sox.
"It's kind of weird because I signed with those guys," Peraza said of being called up against the Braves. "These guys gave me the opportunity to play professional baseball. It's kind of weird playing against them, but I'm just coming here to do my job and to help my team win."

Hoover opened the year as the Reds' closer, but he was demoted to Triple-A on May 7 after posting a 14.34 ERA over 12 appearances. In Louisville, he appeared in 11 games and allowed five runs in 13 1/3 innings.
In his first game back with the Reds on Tuesday, Hoover threw two perfect innings of relief in Atlanta.
Pacheco was placed on the DL, retroactive to June 3, with right shoulder tendinitis. He hasn't played since May 31 but is expected to play for Louisville on Tuesday night when he begins his rehab assignment.
"I think he'll play like five innings in the field tonight at first base, see how that goes and then spoon-feed him more innings at different positions if everything goes well with the shoulder -- both swinging and throwing," Reds manager Bryan Price said. "And if it does, I would imagine we'll see him here in relatively short order."

Pacheco is hitting .157 (8-for-51) in 31 games for the Reds this season. He's appeared at first, second and third base, while also serving as a pinch-hitter.
Wright made his second career start in Monday's 9-8 win over the Braves but did not factor in the decision. The 25-year-old allowed five runs (three earned) over three innings.
Wright started the year in Double-A Pensacola, where he posted a 2-0 record and a 0.45 ERA over eight appearances, two of which were starts. On May 10, he was assigned to Triple-A, where he surrendered four runs (two earned) in two starts.
After joining the Reds on May 24, Wright registered a 7.62 ERA over 13 big league innings. He made two starts and two appearances out of the bullpen for Cincinnati.
"I don't mean to make excuses for the kid, but he was really pitching well in the Minor Leagues, and then he came up here and has been bouncing between the rotation, bullpen, long man and spotty innings," said Price after Monday's game.
"It hasn't been the most conducive for this kid getting on a roll, so I certainly understand this hasn't been the best environment for him to thrive in at this point in time."
Price said the team still hasn't decided who will start Saturday's game at Houston.
