Rays give out free permanent tattoos for the playoffs
'I quit my job today for this'
Sure, you can always support your favorite sports team with hats, shirts, socks or jackets.
But everyone knows the die-hardest fans are the ones who put something in permanent ink on their body. Something that lasts forever. Something your parents might never talk to you again for. Tattoos.
Fortunately, before their American League Wild Card Game against the Rangers on Tuesday, Rays fans were granted the opportunity to get them for free. The first 50 people to arrive at two Poison Ivy Ink locations were able to choose between five pre-set designs on either the arms or legs.
And show up they did -- some arriving before work, some after and some, well, instead of working. Ever again.
Fans chose various designs, including the sun ray.
The manta ray.
Or just a simple TB.
We're just happy there wasn't a Raymond version offered. Those mascot tattoos can get a little bit weird.
