LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Rays fans looking for that unique gift, while also helping charity, need look no further than Major League Baseball's annual auction.
The auction will support the Katharine Feeney Memorial Scholarship Fund, which is in memory of the late pioneering baseball executive whose career spanned 40 years.
• Winter Meetings auction
An annual scholarship will be awarded to a female student at the University of San Francisco who most exemplifies Feeney's character and intelligence, as well as someone who possesses the ability to succeed and the willingness to mentor others. The recipient would be an individual pursuing a career in sports management who demonstrates a financial need to attain an advanced degree.
This year's auction, which is now open at MLB.com/wintermeetingsauction until Thursday at 10 p.m. ET, will include unique items to raise funds and awareness for this special cause
Here are the items Rays fans will find special.
Play catch with Steven Souza Jr.
The winning bidder will get to play catch on the field with Souza prior to a mutually agreeable 2018 Rays home game at Tropicana Field. The winner will also receive an autographed Souza authentic jersey. The experience is designed for one person, though the winner may bring up to three guests who will receive game tickets and pregame passes to watch batting practice from the field.
Rays intern for a day
The winning bidder will receive the opportunity to serve as an intern in the Rays' front office on a mutually agreed upon date. This will be a behind-the-scenes experience of preparing game-day documents for the media, handling incoming requests and serving media in the press box before, during, and after the game. The experience is designed for one person, though the winner may bring up to three guests for the game and they will receive pregame passes to watch batting practice from the field.
Team photographer for the day 
The winning bidder will spend a day shadowing the Rays' team photographer and shoot from a photo position next to the dugout during a mutually agreeable 2018 Rays home game at Tropicana Field. The experience is designed for one person and he/she must provide their own camera gear. The winner may bring up to three guests who will receive game tickets and pregame passes to watch batting practice from the field.
