Rangers pitchers, catchers to report Feb. 17
ARLINGTON -- Rangers pitchers and catchers will report to Spring Training on Feb. 17, the club announced on Friday evening.
Those pitchers and catchers who are participating in the World Baseball Classic will be allowed to report on Feb. 14. The Classic rosters have yet to be set, but Rangers catcher Jonathan Lucroy is planning to catch for the United States and pitcher Martin Pérez is hoping to play for Venezuela.

Position players planning to play in the World Baseball Classic will be allowed to report with the rest of the pitchers and the catchers on Feb. 17. Third baseman Adrián Beltré is planning to play for the Dominican Republic.
The first full-squad workout is scheduled for Feb. 21. The Rangers begin their Spring Training schedule on Feb. 25 against the Royals at Surprise Stadium.
Tickets for Spring Training games go on sale at 9 a.m. CT on Saturday at www.texasrangers.com. The Rangers will play 17 home games at Surprise Stadium.
