Estevan Florial clubbed two homers in Double-A Somerset’s 10-2 victory over Harrisburg. The lefty outfielder went 2-for-3 with 4 RBIs and added two walks in what was the first multi-homer performance of his professional career.

Hitting out of the leadoff spot as the DH, the Yankees’ No. 10 prospect got the game started with an immediate bang, smashing a solo home run to put Somerset up 1-0. The lefty added a three-run shot in the third inning and the Patriots would go on to cruise to their third win of the season.

The 23-year-old Florial has had a powerful start to the year as all five of his hits have gone for extra bases. Florial is slashing .333/.412/.1.067 with an OPS of 1.478 in 17 plate appearances thus far.

While Friday’s game marked the first two-homer game of his career, he has shown extra-base power in the past, racking up 144 extra-base hits in his six-year Minor League career.

Mets: Francisco Alvarez, C (MLB No. 39), Low-A St. Lucie
Ronnie Mauricio, SS (MLB No. 56), High-A Brooklyn
The Mets' top two prospects both continued torrid performances to start their seasons. Alvarez, the DH for the day, went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and two walks. He also drove in a run and scored a pair. The No. 1 prospect in the Mets’ system is hitting a robust .583 through his first four games, going 7-for-12 with four walks and getting on base at a .647 clip with a slugging percentage of 1.000.

Mauricio went 3-for-5 with a home run and two doubles in Brooklyn’s 13-7 loss. The 20-year-old drove in four runs and scored two, upping his batting average to .429 and his OPS to 1.395 following his multi-hit performance. Mets prospects stats »

Padres: Robert Hassell III, OF (MLB No. 52), Low-A Lake Elsinore
After smacking his first professional home run yesterday, the Padres' 2020 first-rounder crushed another one in Lake Elsinore’s extra-inning win over Visalia. The outfielder finished 2-for-5, adding a triple, two RBIs and three runs to his final stat line. Hassell gave the Storm a 10th-inning lead by reaching third on an error in the top of the 10th, with a run scoring on the play. He then scored on a sac fly to put Lake Elsinore up by two, and that run would prove to be the difference in the 9-8 victory. Padres prospects stats »

Mariners: Logan Gilbert, RHP (MLB. No. 28), Triple-A Tacoma
The fourth-ranked Mariners prospect took the hill for the first time at the Triple-A level and looked like he belonged as he yielded one run on four hits and whiffed five over five frames. The righty did not issue a walk and tossed 47 of his 67 pitches for strikes. Gilbert retired the side in order in the first, second and fifth innings -- fanning four. Angels: Orlando Martinez, OF (No. 17), Double-A Rocket City
In a home run happy day across all levels of the Minors, Martinez led the way with three blasts of his own in the Trash Pandas’ 12-10 extra-inning win over Chattanooga. The Cuban outfielder went 4-for-6 in a career day, adding a double, six RBIs, three runs and 14 total bases. The monstrous performance was the first multi-homer game of Martinez’s professional career. Rays: Josh Lowe, OF (No. 11), Triple-A Durham
Kevin Padlo, 3B (No. 22), Triple-A Durham
A pair of Bulls had multi-homer efforts in Durham’s 13-5 victory over Memphis. Lowe started his 3-for-6 performance off with a two-run homer in the first inning, and added his second of the night with a solo shot in the fifth. Tampa Bay’s 2016 first-rounder drove in four runs out of the three-hole for Durham.

Padlo’s first homer came in the third inning, a two-run shot to increase the Bulls' lead to four. His second blast, another two-run homer, came in the sixth inning to put Durham up 10 runs. The third basemen finished the night 3-for-6 with four RBIs and three runs scored. Rays prospects stats »

Indians: Josh Wolf, RHP (No. 10), Low-A Lynchburg
Tanner Burns, RHP (No. 15), High-A Lake County
A pair of young Cleveland hurlers impressed in their 2021 season debuts. Wolf tossed four innings of one run ball to keep Lynchburg undefeated to start the year. The righty scattered three hits and seven strikeouts over his outing, with his only blemish coming in the top of the first inning.

Burns spun four scoreless innings with six strikeouts in the Captains' 6-2 victory over the Lugnuts. The 22-year-old gave up three hits and showed excellent command, throwing 48 of his 63 pitches for strikes and not allowing a walk in his first start of the year. Indians prospects stats »

Twins: Jose Miranda, 3B (No. 19), Double-A Wichita
Miranda hammered two long balls in an action packed 11-7 Wichita win over Springfield. Minnesota’s No. 19 prospect finished the day 3-for-5, adding two RBIs and three runs from the second spot in the order. Miranda has had a blazing start to his 2021 campaign, slashing .353/.421/.882 with a 1.303 OPS through 19 plate appearances. Twins prospects stats »

Braves: Tucker Davidson, LHP (No. 8), Triple-A Gwinnett
The eighth-ranked Braves prospect sparkled in his season debut to pace the Stripers to a 19-1 victory over Charlotte. Davidson allowed a run on three hits and a pair of walks, while fanning six over seven frames. The southpaw faced the minimum through three frames before working into, and out of, trouble in the fourth. Pirates: Michael Burrows, RHP (No. 29), High-A Greensboro
Burrows spun four no-hit innings against Hickory to kick off his 2021 season, striking out eight and throwing 38 of his 46 pitches for strikes. The 21-year-old's last seven outs came via the punch out, and the only baserunner he allowed reached on an error. The right-hander last pitched for the short-season West Virginia Black Bears in 2019, tossing 43.2 innings with a 4.33 ERA and 43 strikeouts. Pirates prospects stats »
