White Sox announce three roster moves

CHICAGO – Prior to tonight’s game vs. Kansas City, the Chicago White Sox announced the following three roster moves:

  • Recalled from Class AAA Charlotte (2): OF Dominic Fletcher and LHP Sammy Peralta;
  • Selected contract from Charlotte (1): RHP Touki Toussaint.

Fletcher is hitting .173 (13-75) with four doubles, six RBI and four runs scored in 28 games with the White Sox this season after making the Opening Day roster. He was on the injured list from June 3-July 9 with a left shoulder strain suffered while making a home-run saving catch on June 2 at Milwaukee. Fletcher is hitting .263 (25-95) with six doubles, two home runs and seven RBI over 24 games with Charlotte this season.

Peralta owns a 3.00 ERA (2 ER/6.0 IP) with one hold and four strikeouts in four relief appearances over two stints with the White Sox this season. He recorded a career-high 4.1 scoreless IP on Friday vs. Seattle before being optioned to Charlotte.

Toussaint, 28, is 3-2 with a 5.15 ERA (29 ER/50.2 IP) and 49 strikeouts in 17 games (eight starts) with Charlotte this season. He appeared in 20 games (16 starts) with the White Sox in 2023 and went 4-7 with a 4.97 ERA (48 ER/87.0 IP), .223 (69-310) opponents average and 85 strikeouts. Toussaint was claimed by the Sox off waivers from Cleveland on June 20, 2023.

Toussaint is 14-14 with a 5.21 ERA (149 ER/257.1 IP) and 266 strikeouts in 77 career games (39 starts) over six major-league seasons with Atlanta (2018-21), the Angels (2022), Cleveland (2023) and Chicago (2023).

Following today’s trade and moves, the White Sox 40-man roster is at 39.
