What’s Happening This Week: Phillies vs. Dodgers, July 9-11

It’s the final homestand before the All-Star break! The Phillies return to Citizens Bank Park for an exciting matchup against the Los Angeles Dodgers, July 9-11. Here’s a look at some of the fan highlights:

1. Starting with this homestand and continuing through the remainder of the 2024 regular season, fans will now have earlier access into the ballpark.

  • All gates will open 90 minutes prior to the scheduled first pitch.
  • Exclusive for the 2024 regular season Sunday home games, the Left Field Gate will open two hours prior to the scheduled first pitch, with all remaining gates opening 90 minutes prior to scheduled first pitch.

2. The series begins on Tuesday, July 9, at 6:40 p.m., with Margaritaville Night, featuring a pregame performance by Jimmy and the Parrots behind Section 148 in Ashburn Alley.

  • Runnemede VFW Post 3324 Commander Sammy Sampolski will change a base at the end of the 3rd inning as he is honored as that night’s Rothman Hometown Hero.

3. The Phillies will then take on the Dodgers on Wednesday, July 10, at 7:08 p.m., with the game exclusively televised by ESPN.

4. The series concludes with Chick-fil-A 1980s Retro Night on Thursday, July 11, at 6:05 p.m. All children 14 and under will receive a Phillies Bullpen Cart.

  • Phillies Wall of Famer Juan Samuel will throw a ceremonial first pitch.
  • Chick-fil-A and their mascot Cows will be on-site at the First Base and Left Field gates. Plus, the mascots will throw a ceremonial first pitch.
  • Before the game, local 1980s tribute band Class of ’84 will perform behind Section 148 in Ashburn Alley.
  • ‘80s Philadelphia Flyers Ed “Boxcar” Hospodar, Brian Propp and Brad Marsh will change a base at the end of the 3rd inning.
  • Be on the lookout for ‘80s theming throughout the ballpark, on the field and on PhanaVision!
  • Fans are invited to head over to the Phillies Thursday Post-Game Party at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia, where Phillies alumni Tommy Greene and Gary “Sarge” Matthews will be signing autographs and taking photos with fans for an hour after the completion of the game. Admission to this event is free.

5. For this series only, Sal’s Pizzaworks from Marlton, NJ, will be offering its Hot ‘n’ Sexy Chicken Sandwich at Coca-Cola Corner (left field).

  • Paired with a 20-ounce Coke Zero Sugar for $20.98, 5% of all purchases of the sandwich will benefit Philabundance to help fight food insecurity.

6. Also exclusive to the Dodgers series, get a free pair of Stance Brigade socks with any purchase of $100 or more at all retail locations throughout the ballpark (while supplies last)!

7. Bid on over two dozen team-issued and game-used autographed memorabilia during the Phillies Charities, Inc. Online Auction on phillies.com/auctions until August 1, at 6:00 p.m.

  • Auction items include baseballs, jerseys, caps, broken bats and more signed by players such as José Alvardo, Alec Bohm, Nick Castellanos, Seranthony Domínguez, Bryce Harper, Brandon Marsh, Aaron Nola, J.T. Realmuto, Kyle Schwarber, Edmundo Sosa, Bryson Stott, Matt Strahm, Ranger Suárez, Trea Turner and Zack Wheeler.
  • Gate Openings: 5:10 p.m. on Tuesday, 5:35 p.m. on Wednesday and 4:35 p.m. on Thursday.
  • NEW Phillies Live Audio: Fans in attendance at Citizens Bank Park can enjoy the Phillies radio broadcast in real time. Using the MLB Ballpark App, navigate to the “Phillies Live Audio” tile and follow the instructions.
  • Go-Ahead Entry: Enroll on the MLB Ballpark app for a free-flow ballpark entry experience that allows ticket holders the ability to enter the ballpark at full walking speed without stopping. Go-Ahead Entry lanes are located at the First Base, Third Base and Left Field Gates.

  • Broadcast: Tuesday’s game will be available on NBCSP and out-of-market on TBS; Wednesday’s game will be broadcast exclusively on ESPN, and Thursday’s game will be broadcast on NBCSP and out-of-market on MLB Network.
  • Mobile Ordering: Includes Manco & Manco @ Foundry Pizza, Miller Lite Liberty Landing, Pass and Stow and Shake Shack. Order your favorite menu items and skip the line when ordering through the MLB Ballpark App.
  • Bag Policy: In an effort to expedite entry, guests are prohibited from bringing non-clear bags, including backpacks and drawstring bags, into the ballpark. Only clutch purses and/or fanny packs (no larger than 5" x 7"), clear bags (no larger than 12" x 6" x 12"), medical bags and diaper bags will be permitted into Citizens Bank Park. All bags will be subject to inspection upon entry in accordance with Major League Baseball security regulations.
  • Uber RideShare Lot: Lot T is designated for Uber RideShare for all Citizens Bank Park and Wells Fargo Center events. Fans should exit the Third Base Gate and walk along Pattison Avenue toward Broad Street to enter the lot and request a vehicle, which will meet each rider in the designated area.
  • Parking: Please click here for a parking map. Parking for Phillies games is cashless. Methods of payment include credit/debit cards and mobile payment (Apple Pay, Google Pay). To expedite entry, pre-paid parking passes may also be purchased prior to the game.
