Three Minor League Players Suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that three Minor League players have been suspended.

St. Louis Cardinals Minor League pitcher Kener Perez, who is currently on their Dominican Summer League roster, has received a 56-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Drug Prevention and Treatment Program for Minor League players assigned outside of the United States and Canada.

San Diego Padres Minor League pitcher Ibrahym Jimenez, who is currently on their Dominican Summer League roster, has received a 56-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Nandrolone, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Drug Prevention and Treatment Program for Minor League players assigned outside of the United States and Canada.

Free agent Minor League pitcher Yonathan Frias has received a 56-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Boldenone, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Drug Prevention and Treatment Program for Minor League players assigned outside of the United States and Canada.
