Texas Rangers to host Twins, Athletics, Mariners in 10-game homestand July 8-17

Rangers to distribute Corey Seager bobblehead on July 9 and Marcus Semien bobblehead on July 15, their first bobbleheads as Texas Rangers. Rangers team up with 7-Eleven for Monday, July 11 ticket offer at Globe Life Field. Dallas Cowboys cornerback, Anthony Brown to toss ceremonial first pitch on Monday, July 11.

Arlington, Texas— The Texas Rangers will return to Globe Life Field tomorrow, Friday, July 8, for ten games against the Minnesota Twins, Oakland Athletics and Seattle Mariners, the longest homestand of 2022.

The Rangers will begin the homestand with a three-game series against the Twins. Games will be played on Friday, July 8, at 7:05 p.m., Saturday, July 9, at 3:05 p.m. and Sunday, July 10, at 1:35 p.m.

The homestand will continue with a three-game weekday series against the Athletics, with games played on Monday, July 11, Tuesday, July 12, and Wednesday, July 13, all beginning at 7:05 p.m.

The Rangers will conclude the homestand with a four-game series versus the Mariners. Games will be played on Thursday, July 14, at 7:05 p.m., Friday, July 15, at 7:05 p.m., Saturday, July 16, at 3:05 p.m. and Sunday, July 17, at 1:35 p.m.

On Friday and Saturday, the Texas Rangers will celebrate 1990s Alumni Weekend, with several former Rangers returning to the ballpark for the weekend’s festivities. Mickey Tettleton, who had 24 homers, 83 RBI, and 95 walks for the 1996 A.L. West Division Championship team, will toss the ceremonial first pitch before Friday night’s game.

Rangers 1990s alumni will be signing autographs in the New Era Alumni Alley on the Globe Life Field main concourse near section 103. John Burkett, Bobby Witt and Mickey Tettleton will be available for autographs on Friday, July 8, from 5:15–6:15 p.m. Kevin Elster, Mark McLemore and Dave Valle will sign autographs on Saturday, July 9, from 1:30–2:15 p.m.

Fans can enjoy Anheuser-Busch’s pre-game Happy Hour at the Karbach Brewing Sky Porch at Globe Life Field every Friday and Saturday through September 6, with $4 draft beers in the Sky Porch from gates open to first pitch.

The first 15,000 fans in the ballpark on Friday, July 8, will receive a 50th Anniversary Mt. Crushmore Statue, presented TXU Energy. Modeled after the Mount Rushmore National Memorial, this figurine includes the Rangers’ four all-time home run leaders Juan González, Rafael Palmeiro, Iván Rodríguez and Adrián Beltré.

On Saturday, July 9, the first 15,000 fans will receive a Corey Seager Bobblehead, presented by Medical City Healthcare — Seager’s first bobblehead as a Texas Ranger.

Also on Saturday, the Texas Rangers Youth Academy’s three Rangers RBI baseball and softball championship-winning teams will be recognized on-field prior to the 3:05 p.m. first pitch, alongside Rangers RBI Scholarship winners Channing Vernon (Cedar Hill High School) and Julianna Serrano (North Dallas High School).

Vernon and Serrano, who were selected to win $5,000 Rangers RBI scholarships for their outstanding summer seasons on and off the field, will also toss a dual ceremonial first pitch before Saturday’s game. 

On Sunday, July 10, the first 15,000 fans in the ballpark will receive a pack of 1990s 50th Anniversary Rangers Baseball Cards, presented by Globe Life. Each deck includes career stats from ten 1990s Rangers greats such as MLB Hall of Famer Iván Rodríguez and fellow team Hall of Famers Rusty Greer and Juan González.

The Texas Rangers are teaming up with 7-Eleven to bring exclusive ticket deals to fans on Monday, July 11, in celebration of Slurpee Day and 7-Eleven’s 95th Birthday. On Friday, July 15, the first 15,000 fans will receive a Marcus Semien Bobblehead, presented by Trade the Chain — Semien’s first bobblehead as a Texas Ranger.

From 12:30-3 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, the Texas Rangers will host Viva Tejas on the Globe Life Field North Plaza, with a one-hour performance from the official Mariachi de Los Texas Rangers beginning at 1 p.m.

Viva Tejas looks to highlight Hispanic traditions through food trucks, live music, partner activations, Hispanic vendors, Rangers trivia, prizes, and more. The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation will recognize its third group of Faces of Freedom military honorees on Saturday, July 16. Throughout the ten-game homestand, the Texas Rangers will host several theme nights and University Days.

On Friday, July 8, the Rangers are hosting Margaritaville Night with a live pre-game performance by Jimmy Buffet tribute band, The Lost Shaker of Salt Band, at Texas Live!
