Red Sox Foundation Impact Awards Now Open for Fan Voting

Voting Determines Allocation of $153,000 in Grants to Type I Diabetes Nonprofits

BOSTON, MA – The Red Sox Foundation today announced that IMPACT Award voting is now open for fans to determine which Type I Diabetes nonprofits are awarded a total of $153,000 in grant funding for their work raising awareness, advocacy, and services to the Type I Diabetes community. The awards, presented by the Manning Family Foundation, will provide the top three nonprofits in each state with $15,000, $5,000, and $3,000 grants respectively. New this year, one nonprofit organization receiving the most votes overall will be recognized as the IMPACT Regional Champion, receiving an additional grant of $15,000.

A total of three nonprofits in each of the six New England states have been chosen as finalists for the voting period, which runs through Thursday, August 22. The first-place winners, as well as the IMPACT Regional Champion, will be recognized in pregame ceremonies on Sunday, September 8.
