Rays return to Tropicana Field for a two-team, five-game homestand

The Tampa Bay Rays return to Tropicana Field on Friday for a two-team, five-game homestand against the Cincinnati Reds (July 26-28) and Miami Marlins (July 30-31). This will be the Rays only series against the Reds this season. The series against the Marlins will be this season’s final. The Rays swept the two-game set in Miami June 4-5. The Rays 2024 season is presented by Orlando Health.

Friday, July 26 vs. Cincinnati Reds

  • Salute to Service: Military, first responders and teachers are eligible to receive 20 percent off tickets in the Lower Reserved and 200 Level for Friday’s game.
  • Make-A-Wish Experience: The Rays will welcome back a former Tuesday’s Champion, 9-year-old Everett, to celebrate the completion of his cancer treatment. Everett was diagnosed with Acute B-cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia and recently got to ring the bell at his treatment facility in celebration of winning his battle against the disease. He will be on the field for batting practice as well as serve as the game’s Honorary Bat Kid.
  • Devil Rays Day: The Rays will sport their Devil Rays throwback uniforms.
  • Randy Land: For every Friday home game, fans can purchase tickets for Randy Land in sections 141 or 143. Tickets include a Randy Arozarena T-shirt.   • Concessions and Merchandise Specials: 90s-themed snacks and beverages are available at the Viva Tequila Seltzer Grab N’ Go (behind center field) and at the Bird & Batter Express location (in right field), on all Friday Devil Rays Days.
  • Colombian Heritage Ticket Package – Sold Out: In celebration of Colombian heritage, the Rays will host a pregame party in Lower Ballpark & Rec open to all fans. In addition, a variety of discounted food and beverage specials will be available, including $5 Aguila beers (SipShine Bar) and Heritage milkshakes (Epic Milkshakes, section 107). Fans who purchased the sold out Colombian Heritage Ticket Package will receive a limited-edition hat and a seat in the Lower Level.
  • Rays on the Runway: The Rays will host a special meet and greet during Friday’s batting practice. Players participating in Rays on the Runway, a one-of-a-kind fashion show fundraiser supporting the Children’s Dream Fund, will have a chance to meet the children who will join them on the runway.   • Rays Concert Series – Jimmy Eat World: Following the game on Friday, the Rays will kick off the Rays Concert Series with alternative rock band Jimmy Eat World. All fans with tickets to the game are welcome to stay and watch the concert from their seats. Fans who would like to upgrade their experience can purchase a wristband on the MLB Ballpark app to enjoy the concert from the field. Wristbands will be available for pickup by Gate 3 Guest Services.

Saturday, July 27 vs. Cincinnati Reds

  • University of Florida Ticket Package – Sold Out: Fans who purchased the special University of Florida Ticket Package will receive a limited-edition hat and a seat in the Lower Level.
  • Legends for Youth Clinic: Prior to the game, the Rays will host the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association’s Legends for Youth Clinic. Youth ages 6-16 will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game along with life lessons from MLB alumni in a multi-station format. The clinic will take place from 9 a.m.-noon and all participants will receive tickets to Saturday’s game. MLB alumni expected to participate include Midre Cummings, Grant Balfour, Kyle Farnsworth, Gary Glover, Daniel Wheeler, Ryan Webb, Rich Thompson, Luis Lopez, Roy Smith and Willie Collazo.

Sunday, July 28 vs. Cincinnati Reds

  • Pregame Presentation: The Rays will celebrate Cheer and Dance Day with a special pregame choreographed dance performance. Cheerleading teams and dance studios from the Tampa Bay region will perform the dance with the Ray Team.
  • Ceremonial First Pitch: Thrown by Rays Spanish Radio Broadcaster Enrique Oliu. Oliu, who was born blind, has been a Rays broadcaster since the inaugural season in 1998 and relies on the sounds of the game and guidance from his wife, Debbie Perry, who joins him in the broadcast booth.
  • Promotion: Pete Fairbanks Bobblehead presented by Take 5 Oil Change to the first 12,000 fans
  • Rays Up for Turner Syndrome: Pete Fairbanks and his wife, Lydia, will host the Turner Syndrome Foundation during the game in support of their Strike Outs for Ellis campaign. The Fairbanks family was personally impacted by Turner Syndrome this year. The mission of the Turner Syndrome Foundation is to support research initiatives and facilitate education programs that increase professional awareness and enhance medical care of those affected by Turner syndrome.
  • Roku Broadcast: Sunday’s game broadcast will be available for free on all Roku devices or televisions, TheRokuChannel.com and through the Roku app.
  • Disability Pride and Awareness Day: The Rays will celebrate the inaugural Disability Pride and Awareness Day in recognition of those with physical and invisible disabilities. The Disability Pride flag, shown on the specialty ticket package hat, displays colors that each represent a different identity within the disabled community: green is for sensory disabilities, blue represents emotional and psychiatric disabilities, white stands for non-visible and undiagnosed disabilities, gold is for neurodiversity, red stands for physical disabilities, and the faded black background represents mourning and rage for victims of ableist violence and abuse. The ticket package is no longer available. Fans who purchased the package will receive a specially designed hat featuring the Disability Pride flag and braille, and a seat in the 200 Level.
  • For the Kids: On Sundays, there’s even more fun for the kids! Kids can line up by the first-base line from 12-12:30 p.m. for Rays player autographs. A select group of children will have the opportunity to go on the field and stand next to their favorite Rays player during the National Anthem. After the game, all kids can run the bases. Follow instructions on the video board to find out where to line up to enter the field.

Tuesday, July 30 vs. Miami Marlins

  • Pregame Presentation: Budweiser and Great Bay Distributors will present Folds of Honor with a $5,000 check in honor of continuing their 14-year partnership with the organization. Folds of Honor is a nonprofit organization that helps provide the families of fallen and disabled service members and first responders with educational scholarships.
  • Ceremonial First Pitch: Thrown by Tuesday’s Champion, Colby
  • Rays First Pitch: Thrown by Publix Meat Department Retail Coordinator, Jimmy Sesto
  • Tuesday’s Champion: Before every Tuesday home game, the Rays recognize a child from the Make-A-Wish Foundation or the Children’s Dream Fund as part of the Tuesday’s Champion program, presented by RIPA & Associates. The Rays will host 13-year-old Colby from the Children’s Dream Fund. As part of Colby’s special day as Tuesday’s Champion, he will meet Rays players and throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Colby was diagnosed with T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. He recently participated in the Mario Kart Tournament at Tropicana Field and his favorite player is Randy Arozarena.
  • Salute to Service: Military, first responders and teachers are eligible to receive two complimentary tickets for Tuesday’s game.
  • Reading with the Rays: Prior to the game, the Rays will host a Reading with the Rays event at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast’s Royal Theater Club. Local author, Davon Miller, and Rays pitcher Jason Adam will be reading books to children in attendance. Reading with the Rays, presented by Suncoast Credit Union, is an incentive-based reading program that encourages Pre-K to 12th grade students to avoid summer learning loss by reading for 24 hours during the summer months. Wednesday, July 31 vs. Miami Marlins

  • In-Game Presentation: The Rays Baseball Foundation will present Pinellas County Urban League with a $30,000 grant to support their overall mission of enabling and empowering the Black community and others who are underserved to achieve their highest human potential and secure economic self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights.

Additional Homestand Notes:

  • $10 Tickets: Available for every Rays regular season home game. $10 Tickets are non-transferable, and barcodes will be available two hours prior to first pitch. A maximum of six tickets per game, per household is available. All $10 tickets are based on availability for all Rays home games.
  • 50/50 Charity Raffle: Support our community from Tropicana Field or at home while watching the game. As an early-bird special, fans receive two times the number of tickets for donations made before first pitch. For example, prior to first pitch fans can get 10 tickets for $10, 40 tickets for $20, 400 tickets for $50 and 998 tickets for $100. Each fan who pledges will receive a small cup good for a soda or water at Coca-Cola Refresh Stations. One winner each game will receive a Rays hat.
  • Closed Captioning: New for the 2024 season, a closed-captioning feed is available for all Rays home games in the Ballpark app. Fans can simply select the “Closed Captioning” icon from the Helpful Links section on the Rays team page to see a captioning feed throughout the game.

  • Rays Touch Experience: The first of its kind at a professional sports venue, Rays Touch Experience is a 35-foot, 10,000-gallon exhibit located just beyond the right-center field fence at Tropicana Field. This unique and educational fan experience has been created through a partnership with The Florida Aquarium. The beautiful cownose stingrays are the same species that live in the waters of Tampa Bay and are cared for by the Florida Aquarium staff. A complete wellness program including a healthy diet, routine medical exams and behavioral observation is provided for the rays. Fans can visit when gates open to the top of the ninth inning (the tank will close at the top of each hour for 10 minutes to give the rays a touch break).
  • Specialty Rooms: The Nursing Room is a private room for child caretaking behind home plate near the First Aid station. The Sensory Room is a safe space for anyone with sensory processing needs in Suite 45. It was designed in collaboration with the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD).
  • Upgrade Your Experience: Seat upgrades and gameday experiences are available for purchase for every game via the MLB Ballpark app. Fans can select the “Upgrade Your Experience” tile on the Rays team page to see available upgrades. Availability and pricing will vary by game. Experiences include The Baldwin Group Club access, Rays Radio Booth visits, Raymond Meet & Greets and Batting Practice passes.
