New sideline configuration unveiled for Northwestern football games at Wrigley Field

Tickets go on sale July 31

CHICAGO – Historic Wrigley Field will host two Northwestern football games this November when the Wildcats host Ohio State Saturday, November 16, and Illinois Saturday, November 30. Since the Wildcats last played at Wrigley Field in 2023, adjustments have been made to the field layout to accommodate two sidelines, with the home team occupying the north side. Tickets for both games go on sale to the general public Wednesday, July 31, at 10 a.m. CT.

“The Chicago Cubs and Northwestern have enjoyed a long-term partnership for over a decade,” said Cubs Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Colin Faulkner. “We’re excited to welcome the Wildcats back to the Friendly Confines this November with a new field layout that addresses feedback we’ve received from the Big Ten Conference and participating teams.”

The decision was made to maintain neutrality and provide the best experience for both teams. With this change, seats closest to the first base line will have a limited view due to the visiting team’s players on the sideline.

Cubs Season Ticket Holders will have the opportunity to secure tickets in advance of the general public through exclusive presale opportunities beginning Monday, July 22, for Ohio State and Monday, July 29, for Illinois.

All fans are invited to join in celebrating these matchups as Northwestern plays its final two home games of the 2024 season at the Friendly Confines. For more information and to purchase tickets starting Wednesday, July 31, please visit www.cubs.com/football.
