Guggenheim signs on as presenting sponsor of the 2025 Tokyo Series

Major League Baseball and Guggenheim announced a new partnership today which names the global investment and advisory firm as presenting sponsor of the 2025 Tokyo Series. The Tokyo Series presented by Guggenheim will feature the Los Angeles Dodgers taking on the Chicago Cubs to open the 2025 season at the Tokyo Dome on March 18 and 19.

The match-up features Clubs that have a combined four Japanese players on their 2024 rosters including Oshu, Japan native Shohei Ohtani and Bizen, Japan native Yoshinobu Yamamoto of the Dodgers along with Kitakyushu, Japan native Shota Imanaga and Arakawa, Japan native Seiya Suzuki of the Cubs. The Tokyo Series presented by Guggenheim will mark the sixth time in which MLB opens its regular season in Tokyo, and it represents the 25th anniversary of the first-ever regular season games played in Japan in 2000 between the Cubs and the New York Mets.

As part of the agreement, Guggenheim will receive extensive brand placement including in the event logo which will appear in advertising and promotion for the event and a sleeve patch on the Dodgers jerseys. Guggenheim will have worldwide promotional rights tied to the event, signage visible on television, ballpark brand exposure, and premium hospitality opportunities.

The event is part of the MLB World Tour which featured games in London, Seoul, Mexico City, and the Dominican Republic this season.
