Dodgers Recall Hunter Feduccia

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled catcher Hunter Feduccia and placed first baseman Freddie Freeman on the family emergency list.

Feduccia, 27, is batting .295 with five homers and 42 RBI with Triple-A Oklahoma City. His next appearance with the Dodgers will be his Major League debut. He has been with the organization six seasons, batting .268 with 45 homers and 248 RBI in 429 minor league games. The backstop was drafted in the 12th round of the 2018 First Year Player Draft out of Louisiana State University.

Freeman, 34, is slashing .288/.395/.493 with 16 homers and 67 RBI this season. He ranks among the top 10 in the NL in hits (109, T-9th), doubles (26, 6th), walks (61, 3rd), extra-base hits (44, 8th), runs (63, T-8th), RBI (67, T-6th), OBP (.395, 3rd), slugging (.493, 6th) and OPS (.888, 6th). He is one double shy from becoming the 66th player in Major League Baseball history to amass 500 career two-baggers. He is in his 15th season and has notched 2,223 hits with 1,210 RBI and 1,280 runs while batting .301 in 1.989 games.
