LOS ANGELES – The Dodgers added right-handed pitcher Jack Flaherty to the active roster and optioned left-handed pitcher Justin Wrobleski.

Flaherty, 28, was acquired yesterday from the Detroit Tigers in exchange for minor leaguers Trey Sweeney and Thayron Liranzo. He went 7-5 with a 2.95 ERA in his first season with the Detroit Tigers. He made 18 starts for the American League Central squad, striking out 133 batters with a 0.96 WHIP and .211 batting average against. He has been in the Majors parts of eight seasons with St. Louis (2017-23), Baltimore (2023) and Detroit (2024), going 49-39 with a 3.64 ERA in 149 games (143 starts). The Southern California native was drafted in the first round of the 2014 First Year Player Draft out of Harvard-Westlake High School by the Cardinals.

Wrobleski, 24, made four starts for the Dodgers, allowing seven runs in 20.0 innings. In his last two starts, he allowed two runs in 10.0 innings on seven hits. He started the season with Double-A Tulsa, making 13 starts and going 5-2 with a 3.06 ERA. He was promoted to Triple-A on June 22 and made two starts for Oklahoma City, striking out 17 in 11.1 innings with a 4.34 ERA. In three minor league seasons with the Dodgers, he is 10-10 with a 3.03 ERA in 53 games (48 starts) and 214 strikeouts in 202 innings. He was drafted by the Dodgers in the 11th round of the 2021 First Year Player Draft out of Oklahoma State University.
