Chip Caray, Cardinals Care, and Bank of America Team Up to Raise Funds for Operation Food Search

July 15th, 2024

ST. LOUIS, Mo., July 15, 2024 – The St. Louis Cardinals and Cardinals Care, the team’s community foundation, today announced the launch of the Feed the Future campaign in partnership with Chip Caray and Bank of America. For every double play the Cardinals turn for the remainder of the 2024 season, Bank of America will donate to Cardinals Care, who in turn will make a matching donation that will be distributed to Operation Food Search to help Feed the Future, ensuring children 18 years and younger receive the nutrition they need to grow and thrive.

“Double play calls will be extra special for me the rest of this season because for every one the Cardinals turn, a donation will be made to help feed youth in our community,” said Chip Caray, Cardinals play-by-play announcer. “It is an honor to lend my voice to this important initiative.”

“We are thrilled to be a part of this unique double play program, along with Cardinals Care, Chip Caray and Operation Food Search, to generate funds needed to help remove barriers to access nutritious food, a critical component to the success of youth in our community. Partnerships like these are an important part of Bank of America’s commitment to St. Louis,” said Katie Fischer, market executive, Bank of America St. Louis.

“We are truly grateful to Chip Caray, Bank of America and Cardinals Care for this exciting and impactful campaign,” said Kristen Wild, president and CEO of Operation Food Search. “Feed the Future puts the focus on kids at a time when the child poverty rate has more than doubled. Together, we are working to fight hunger, nourish lives and foster hope in our community.”

Fans are invited to join Chip in his efforts and donate at cardinals.com/feedthefuture. A donation of just five dollars will help provide a summer meal for a child or, during the school year, an afterschool or weekend meal. Each meal provided is nutritionally balanced to help the child thrive.
