Phillies sport purple shirts in honor of annual PCADV Night

September 15, 2024

Earlier this week, the Phillies were proud to host Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV) Night. This ballpark-wide effort to bring awareness on the importance of healthy relationships was held during the September 10 game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Among those who took part were players, staff, coaches and grounds crew workers, who donned purple PCADV shirts during batting practice to help put the spotlight on this great cause. In addition, members of PCADV and other local domestic violence organizations were recognized on-field before the game, with Phillies manager Rob Thomson personally thanking them for all they do

Thomson, along with his wife Michele, were also featured in a video shown on PhanaVision about the importance of healthy relationships, recorded from a recent sit-down interview, which can be seen by clicking here.

To find help 24/7, contact a local domestic violence program by visiting PCADV.org or the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233).
