The Phillies are 61-75 with two ties on Opening Day. Yes, two ties: 5-5 in 14 innings in 1923 in Brooklyn and 6-6 in 11 innings in '24 against the Braves at the Baker Bowl. Games were called because of darkness since ballparks didn’t have lights back then.

There have been 13 extra-inning games involving the Phillies. The last one was in 2007, a 5-3 loss in 10 innings vs. Atlanta at Citizens Bank Park.

The Phillies and Braves are meeting on Opening Day for the 27th time dating back to 1901. Leaderboard: Braves 13, Phillies 12 (one tie in 1924). They’ve opened in Boston, Atlanta and Philadelphia but never in Milwaukee, home of the Braves from 1953-1965.
