The Phillies' National League Championship culminates with ring ceremony

April 9th, 2023

Prior to today’s Phillies game, members of the 2022 National League Championship team received their rings from the team’s Managing Partner and CEO, John Middleton and President of Baseball Operations, David Dombrowski.

During an on-field ceremony, a total of 41 rings, designed by Jason of Beverly Hills, were presented to 29 players and 12 coaches. Each ring contains leather from a game-used baseball from Game 5 of the National League Championship Series, making them one of a kind. The leather under the ring top is inlaid with the National League Championship trophy. The ring top features the Phillies bell logo surrounded by emerald cut white diamonds set in a brick pattern to pay homage to the architectural elements of Citizens Bank Park.

The 14-karat white gold ring is comprised of 668 gemstones, a total of 13.50 total carats. This includes 419 diamonds, 152 rubies and 97 sapphires.

As a nod to fans, the ring features elements unique to the 2022 postseason, including “Bedlam at the Bank” and “Dancing On My Own,” two mantras that will forever be synonymous with the team’s incredible run. In addition, the attendance figure for Game 5 of the NLCS is inscribed in the Citizens Bank Park seating bowl. The City of Philadelphia is also represented with a silhouette of the skyline and Independence Hall in the foreground.

“With the electrifying postseason run that the club had, we knew we needed to design a ring that is symbolic of the galvanizing impact it had on our players, our fans and the city. Jason of Beverly Hills has been the perfect partner to accomplish that goal,” said Middleton. “It’s a stunning ring that honors this team's special accomplishment. Jason took what we wanted to the next level. We are thrilled with his work.”

“From the beginning, John Middleton and the Phillies ring committee played a pivotal part in the design of the ring,” said Jason Arasheben, CEO of Jason of Beverly Hills. “It was very clear that they wanted to show their appreciation and reward the team with a ring that’s fitting for National League pennant winners. Every season has a story, and we wanted this ring to celebrate the story of an amazing season by an amazing team. The Phillies have delivered a historic ring that screams ‘WE APPRECIATE YOU.’”
