The Dodgers on Thursday placed right-handed reliever Pedro Báez on the 10-day injured list with a right groin strain and recalled right-handed reliever Josh Sborz.

In Los Angeles' 6-4 loss to the Mariners on Wednesday, Báez allowed a sixth-inning home run to Dylan Moore -- the second homer he’s allowed in 11 1/3 innings over 11 games, with eight strikeouts, five walks and a 3.97 ERA. His career ERA is 3.06, and he allowed six home runs in 69 2/3 innings last season.

A setup workhorse in recent years, Báez has experienced a decline in average fastball velocity of about 1.5 mph this year.
