Johnson traded to White Sox for cash

ANAHEIM -- The Orioles traded right-hander Steve Johnson to the Chicago White Sox in exchange for cash considerations, the team announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Johnson, who signed a Minor League deal to return to Baltimore this spring, last appeared in the Majors in 2016 with Seattle. He has gone 1-2 with a 5.30 ERA in 19 games (five starts) for Triple-A Norfolk.
Johnson, born and raised in the Baltimore area, is the son of former Orioles pitcher and current MASN analyst Dave Johnson. He is 6-1 with a 4.26 ERA in 43 career Major League games (five starts).
