BALTIMORE -- Orioles designated hitter Mark Trumbo will go out on rehab assignment on Monday with Double-A Bowie. Trumbo, who has been brought along cautiously as he recovers from a right quad strain, played one game for Bowie on April 10 before things got shut down as the area wasn't fully healed.
There's no timetable for Trumbo's return, but Sunday's news was a step in the right direction in getting Trumbo -- who sustained the injury in Spring Training -- to make his season debut.
Outfielder Trey Mancini is still hoping to avoid the disabled list after slamming his right knee into an unpadded portion of the left-field wall in Friday's game. Mancini, who was unavailable on Saturday, was better on Sunday, and the team is hoping he'll only be sidelined for a few days.

Closer Zach Britton (right Achilles surgery) threw off of a half mound for the second time this weekend after doing some pitchers' fielding practice on Saturday. He remains on target to join the club when he's eligible at the end of May or shortly thereafter.
O's celebrate Earth Day
The Orioles donned special caps and jerseys to celebrate Earth Day in Sunday afternoon's game against Cleveland, and the gear will be authenticated, autographed and auctioned at orioles.com/auctions to benefit The Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
Orioles reliever Mychal Givens also took part in the team's on-field presentation of the prestigious Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification. The honor is the result of a multi-year effort of research and enhancements to Camden Yards, which -- at 26 years -- is the oldest ballpark to reach the distinction.

Camden Yards joins three other existing MLB ballparks with LEED certifications: Minnesota's Target Field, San Francisco's AT&T Park and Miami's Marlins Park.
