The Texas Rangers Youth Academy is teaming up with Nike’s DFW Area Community Ambassadors to host a free all-girls sports camp on Saturday, March 2, to kick off Women’s History Month.

Women’s History Month is annually celebrated in March to recognize the accomplishments of women and look ahead at what’s to come.

There is no better way to celebrate powerful women than through sports, especially as female athletes continue breaking records and reaching milestones never thought possible before.

Girls ages 7-12 can register to participate in the free sports camp led by Nike Community Ambassadors on the Academy's Oates and Beltré Fields.

To encourage the discovery of their passions, participants will get the opportunity to rotate through various stations with exciting drills and games related to baseball and softball, soccer, and flag football.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. and include opening remarks with a brief presentation on the significance of Women’s History Month, then lead into the fun.

MVPs will be selected before the camp concludes and receive prizes based on participation, sportsmanship, and overall energy.
